FAQ: Infinity Rewards
Flights
How do I cancel a flight reservation?
For bookings made through Infinity Rewards, cancellations are allowed if the booking qualifies under refund policy, then points will be refunded back into your account. For any reasons not initiated by you, i.e. flights being grounded/canceled/or any other unforeseen circumstances wherein you are denied travel, applicable reward points will be refunded back into your rewards account within 45 working days.
Can I book a multi-city trip?
Multi-city booking is not available. In order to book a multi-city travel, you will have to book individual sectors separately.
Can I do an online check-in?
Online check-in is not always offered by every airline on its website. If the website does permit online check-in, you may do so by using your Airline Booking Reference number.
Can I enter my Frequent Flyer number at the time of booking?
Currently, we do not accept the Frequent Flyer number. You can provide your Frequent Flyer number at the airline counter at the time of check-in.
I’ve booked my tickets but now need to add my child’s tickets to my booking. How do I proceed for this?
You would need to contact your airline directly to book tickets for your child.
I did not receive an e-mail confirmation. What do I do?
What are the payment options when booking flights?
You can pay with Infinity Rewards Points.
How do I cancel my hotel booking?
Can I change the dates of my hotel booking?
Once the hotel is booked, the booking cannot be amended. For amendments, the current booking has to be canceled, and a new booking will have to be made.
Can I book a room that will be occupied by more than two adults?
Most hotels allow additional guests in a room for an extra charge, but the number of occupants should not exceed the maximum number of guests allowed per room by the hotel. You would need to directly check with the hotel for such bookings, as it varies according to the terms and conditions of the hotel.
Our children will be traveling with us; will there be any hotel charge for them as well?
When making your booking, select the number of children traveling with you from the 'Children' drop-down box. If you select one child, our search will give you the price of a Double Room with a child, not including an extra bed. If you want an extra bed in the room, you need to increase the number of passengers in your search.
Can I request a room preference such as smoking/wheelchair friendly etc.?
Yes, you can. Although, you will have to check with the hotel directly for such requests and book online.
I did not get an email confirmation. What do I do?
It is important at the time of contacting us that you convey information on:
- Name against which reservation was made
- Location (city) and name of the hotel
- Dates of check-in / check-out
- CIF Number
I am arriving late; will the hotel hold my room until I arrive?
Yes, the hotel will hold your room booking until 7 am the day after your planned arrival date, as your reservation is a confirmed booking. However, please check with the hotel for details.
I am arriving earlier than planned; will the hotel accommodate me?
In such cases, we suggest you contact the hotel in advance to check for accommodation, as terms and conditions vary with different hotels.
How can I get a receipt or invoice for my hotel booking?
You can view all your upcoming and completed trips by selecting the ‘Manage Bookings’ section. Further, you can view/print your receipt by selecting the Booking Reference number.
What is the difference between a Double and a Twin Room?
A Double Room has 1 King-sized bed, whereas a Twin Room has 2 Single or Queen-sized beds.
Do I need to reconfirm my hotel booking?
No, this is not necessary. However, if you wish, you may contact the hotel directly.
I need to avail an early check-in/late check-out. Can this be done?
This depends completely on the hotel’s room availability on that particular date. Infinity Rewards cannot guarantee anything in this regard.
Are meals/breakfast included in the hotels booked?
Not all hotels include complimentary breakfast. Please ensure this is checked on the program website under the respective hotel’s ‘View Detail’ section, before redeeming the hotel.
Can I make a hotel booking for today’s check-in?
Sorry, this is not possible. Hotel reservations have to be booked a minimum of 3 days in advance.
Can I request connected rooms if I am booking 2 rooms, or a smoking-room preference etc.?
Most of the hotels are booked directly through international suppliers. We can add these requests as a comment to the hotel; however, Infinity Rewards does not guarantee the confirmation of the same. These requests would have to be made directly at the hotel at the time of check-in.
What are the payment options when booking hotels?
You can use reward points to book hotels.
Car Rental
Do I get an immediate booking confirmation?
Can I make an amendment to my booking?
Amendments are possible for most bookings; however, the request needs to be received at least 48 hours prior to the date of booking. Confirmation would depend on the service provider's availability. In some cases, amendments may not be possible, as per the car rental policy.
Will there be any extra charges if I wish to make an amendment to my booking?
Extra amendment surcharges would be incurred if there is a change in the duration, location, or the type of car.
Can I cancel my booking?
For bookings made through Infinity Rewards, no cancellations are allowed if initiated voluntarily by you. Hence, no points/cash will be refunded back to your account. However, if the reason for cancellation is from the service provider/supplier’s end, the points will be duly credited into your account within 7 business days.
How old do I have to be to rent a car?
For most car hire companies, the age requirement is between 21 and 70 years. If the driver is under 25 or over 70 years of age, you might have to pay an additional fee. (Charges may vary depending on city/country and type of car.)
Is it possible to rent a car for another person through my account?
Yes, as long as they meet the stipulated requirements. You would need to fill in their details while making the reservation.
Does my car redemption include all charges or is there anything extra I have to pay?
Most of the car rental services include in their price - Theft Protection, Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), local taxes, airport surcharges, and any road fees. Although, you would be responsible for any ‘extra’ charges at the time of car pick-up, fees for a young/additional driver, one-way fees. The same will be explained to you, in addition to ways to reduce costs like carrying child seats, GPS, before you make your car booking. You may read more about this in the Terms and Conditions section of the car rental service you are booking with.

How can I dispute my Infinity Rewards transactions/purchases?
How many days will it take to get my merchandise delivered?
Your merchandise will be delivered within 6-10 working days (subject to stock availability).
What should I do if the merchandise doesn’t reach me within 7 working days?
What if I want to exchange/upgrade my order?
Once an order has been placed, it cannot be exchanged or upgraded.
What should I do if the delivered item is wrong or damaged?
How do I look for a product on the Infinity Rewards platform?
Navigation is easy. Select the category or use the search engine to find the product you are looking for.
What are my options for paying for an order?
You may redeem your reward points.
I have a missing item in my order...
How can I undo an order cancellation?
Cancellation requests are final. To receive the items, simply make a new order.
How will I know if an item is out of stock?
Any item that is sold out will be mentioned ``Out of Stock`` on the product page. In rare cases, a product in your cart may become out of stock as you're in the check-out process and a notification will pop-up during the process.
Can I change or amend the items in my order once it has been placed?
Currently, this service is not available. To change or add an item, the order has to be canceled and a new order has to be made.
Can I ship an order to multiple addresses?
No, we can currently only ship to one address per order.
My payments (Points) are debited; however, the order was not processed?
Gift Vouchers
How many days will it take to get my Gift Voucher delivered?
Your Gift Voucher details will be emailed within 24 hours to your registered email address (subject to the availability of stock). More details can be found on the brand's terms and conditions in the Infinity Rewards App.
What if I want to exchange my Gift Voucher?
Once an order has been placed, it cannot be exchanged.
What do I do if I have not received the Gift Voucher within 24 hours?
What if my Gift Voucher is lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed?
Infinity Rewards will not be responsible if a Gift Voucher is lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed, and no replacement or refund of points will be provided in any circumstance.
Is there a way I can cancel my order?
Once the Gift Voucher is purchased, voluntary cancellation is not permitted. Hence, reward points will not be refunded for the cancellation.

What is an Airport Lounge?
An airport lounge is a facility operated at many airports for selected passengers, offering comforts beyond those afforded in the airport terminal itself, such as more comfortable seating, quieter environments, and often better access to customer service representatives. Other accommodations may include private meeting rooms, telephones, wireless internet access, and other business services, along with provisions to enhance passenger comfort, such as free beverages, snacks/food, magazines, and showers.
Can I cancel my Lounge purchase?
Once purchased, the lounge voucher is non-refundable.
How do I access the airport lounge?
You will receive a voucher code in your registered email address. Present this voucher code at the lounge reception to access the lounge.
What facilities can I expect to find in a lounge?
You will be entitled to facilities like refreshments, television, complimentary internet access, shower, and flight status updates, etc. Please note that the availability of facilities varies between different lounges and refer to the terms and conditions available in the email communication.

Is there a way I can cancel my order or get a refund?
Can I amend my booking?
Is taking insurance mandatory for this category?
Many experiences, as stated in the booking terms and conditions, may require you to take out travel insurance as a condition of booking with them. In any event, we strongly advise that you take out a policy of insurance to cover you and your party against the cost of assistance (including repatriation) in the event of an accident or illness, loss of baggage and money, and other expenses.
Are there any restrictions or eligibility criteria for booking Experiences?
Some experiences may have specific requirements or restrictions, such as age limits, physical fitness levels, or group sizes. Please review the details of each experience to ensure it aligns with your requirements.

For optimal internet banking experience, we recommend using the latest versions of the following browsers: Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox and Microsoft Edge.
Are there any charges for fund transfer?
I have been logged out from my session. Why?
- Your internet banking session has expired. The session times out if the page is idle or you do not perform any activity for 5 minutes.
- Lost WiFi connection. Check your connection or contact your internet service provider for assistance.
Corporate Banking
How do I log on the ABC Banking Corporate Internet Banking platform for the first time?
- Log on env-abcbanking-fast.kinsta.cloud and click on the corporate navigation tab to access Corporate Internet banking;
- Log in with your temporary credentials (temporary Username, Password and Corporate ID) received by email;
- You will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) by SMS and/or email;
- Enter and validate the OTP
- Once Logged in, you will be redirected to the configuration setup page also known as ‘First Time Log in Activity page’:
- Set your new and permanent username
- Set your new password (Min 8 Alpha-Numeric characters with at least 1 capital letter and at least 1 special character e.g. $)
Set your security questions (Do not use special characters and/or spacing) - Set your preferred OTP channel; email and/or SMS (both recommended). If you are a resident, it is recommended to select both SMS & email. If you are a non-resident, please select Email only.
- Click on submit to complete the exercise;
- The platform will redirect you to the IB login page. Log in using your newly set credentials.
Once registered, how do I change my OTP channel?
- Login to the IB platform
- Go to ‘My Settings’
- Select second level authentication
- Click Yes on the notification message
- Enter OTP sent by email and/or SMS
- Choose authentication option and submit*

What do I do if I forget my password?

Why do I get logged out from my Internet Banking session abruptly?
- You used the Back / Forward / Refresh button of your browser
- You clicked twice on any options/buttons
- There was no activity in the browser window for a specific timeframe
- You logged in from another browser window. You tried to access the Internet Banking page from a saved or static page.
How can I view my account/ transaction details or transaction history?
- Click on ‘Corporate Account’
- Choose the account
- Click on either ‘View Details’ or ‘Statement’
- By clicking on ‘View Details’, you will have access to the last 10 transactions on your account.
- If you wish to access your detailed statement for a specific period, click on the Statement icon
- Select the Corporate Account
- You may view your statement by either clicking on transaction date or period:
- By opting for transaction date, you may view your transaction details from one specific date to another. On the other hand, by selecting transaction period, you will have access to a pre-defined period. e.g last one month or last two months
How can I download my transaction details?
- Click on the ‘Detailed statement’ icon
- Select your preferred Corporate account
- Either select transaction date or transaction period by clicking on the selection button

You may also choose to view your transaction details or send them by mail by clicking on the view icon or on the send mail icon respectively.
I am not getting the OTP. What should I do?
- You must check if the correct channel has been selected, that is, SMS only or Email only.
- If the mobile phone number is correct and you do not receive the OTP, you can generate another OTP by clicking on ‘Resend OTP’. If the SMS or email still does not reach you, please call our Contact Centre on (+230) 206 8000 for technical support or directly contact your Relationship Manager for further assistance.
What is a trusted and untrusted device?
Untrusted device – a device, such as a phone, tablet, or computer that has not been authenticated. You have to enter a one-time code/token every time you log in from such a device.
What general precautions should I take to protect my account on the Internet?
– Ensure your password is kept secret and change it as often as possible
– Create long password difficult to crack
– Avoid using public WIFI to access your internet banking platform
– Ensure your computer of other devices are equipped with the latest antivirus
– Ensure the website you are visiting is secure:
- If the address bar is visible, the URL should start with ‘https://’ (‘s’ for secured) rather than the usual ‘http://’
- If the address bar is not visible as in our Internet Banking website, look for a lock icon on the browser’s status bar
– Of note, never respond to emails that request any personal information
This is a security feature inbuilt during registration process. At the time of registering, 3 questions of your choice must be set with replies. These answers will be known only to you and will be used for verification from time to time.
To change your security questions, follow below steps:
- Go to your Settings
- Click the Security tab above your name
- Click Update under “Security questions.”
- From the “Security question 1” and “Security question 2” dropdown menus, select a question and type its answer

What should I do if I suspect an unauthorized transaction in my account ?
What should I do if I suspect that my Password has been stolen or exposed to others?
If you suspect your password has been exposed or stolen, you are strictly advised to log in and change your password as per the password policy.
How to change my Password?
- Login on the Internet Banking platform
- Click on ‘My Settings’
- Select ‘Change Password’
- Enter Old/Current Password
- Enter New Password
- Confirm New Password

The microprocessor chip on the Debit Chip Card is protected by cryptographic encryption, which prevents its contents from being replicated. Magnetic stripe cards, on the other hand, use an older technology making the card vulnerable to cloning.
What should I do if my Debit Chip Card has been misplaced or stolen?
What is MasterCard SecureCode?
MasterCard SecureCode is a free online security service provided by the bank in association with MasterCard to guard you against unauthorised use of your card while shopping on the internet at participating merchants (merchants registered to MasterCard SecureCode).
How does it work?
The bank automatically registers your ABC MasterCard Debit Chip Card to MasterCard SecureCode. A private code is issued to you which you will need to key in when shopping online at participating merchants. This private code enables you to authenticate yourself at the time of the purchase.
What is UnionPay’s One Time Password?
OTP means an automatically generated numeric or alphanumeric string of characters that authenticates a single transaction or session. An OTP will be sent to the Primary UnionPay Cardholder’s registered mobile phone number via SMS.
Are all online merchants/ stores registered to MasterCard SecureCode / UnionPay’s OTP?
No, not all merchants are registered. You will know whether or not a merchant is registered to the service through the MasterCard SecureCode / UnionPay logo on the merchant’s site.
What happens if I shop online with a merchant that is not registered to MasterCard SecureCode / UnionPay’s OTP?
You will not be prompted to key in your SecureCode and your payment will go through but it will be less secured than with a merchant registered to MasterCard SecureCode / UnionPay’s OTP.

What is ABC Banking Savings rate?
Our savings rate is 0.60% and we are among the top banks providing such a high rate.
Why ABC Banking savings rate remained static when the overall PLR has changed?
Following the BOM revision for a decrease in REPO rate two years back, ABC Banking didn’t reduce its savings rate and hence gave its clients a comparative advantage of 0.30% – 0.40% compared to other banks. On the same line, should you be willing to take advantage of a higher savings rate, you may choose our Premier Savings Account to benefit from an interest rate of 0.60% to 1.20% depending on your deposit amount. You may also be interested to know that we calculate our interest rates on a daily basis and same is credited on a monthly basis.
What is REPO rate, PLR and BSR?
PLR stands for the Prime Lending Rate and is an interest rate determined by individual banks. It is also used as the reference rate for various types of loans.
BSR refers to the Base Savings Rate and is the base rate that the bank will charge on a savings account.
Is an increase in REPO Rate applicable to all banks?

A bonus margin is a floating rate defined by the bank and can be altered at anytime.

- Click on Menu -> Accounts -> Current & Savings -> Transaction Query’
- Choose the account and enter the required details to view the transactions.
You may view your statement by either clicking on transaction date or period by opting for transaction date, you may view your transaction details from one specific date to another.

How can I download my transaction details?
- Go to Transaction Query screen and search for the required transactions.
- Click on ’Download’ (top right link) to download the transactions statement

What is a credit card?
Who can apply for a credit card?
Where can I use the credit card?
You may use the credit card on most ATMs, retail stores as well as for your online shopping, where the Mastercard logo is displayed
Do I need a PIN code to effect transaction with credit card?
Upon receiving your credit card, you will be assigned a Personal Identification Number (PIN). You will be required to insert your PIN each time you perform a transaction that requires one. Our Mastercard credit card is also equipped with the latest Contactless technology. This allows you to ‘’tap-and-go” without the need to enter a PIN for low-value purchases as published on the bank’s website.
What is a supplementary credit card?
A supplementary credit card allows the principal cardholder to share the credit limit with another party(ies). The card is typically given to the principal cardholder's immediate family members
Do I need to have an account with ABC Banking Corporation ltd to have a credit card?
It is essential to have an account with ABC Banking Corporation ltd in order to avail a credit card. This account will allow funding and repayment of your monthly credit card payments.
How secure is the credit card?
The credit card is chip-enabled ensuring a high level of security. Cardholders will receive a One Time Password (OTP) by SMS and e-mail to authenticate every secured online transaction.
How much will the credit card cost me?
Will the merchant/ shop charge me an additional fee for paying with my credit card?
No, the cost of an item remains the same whether you pay by credit card or cash.
Can I use the credit card for online purchases?
Yes, you can use the credit card for online purchases. You normally need to provide your card number, expiration date, and the card security code (CVV) to complete a transaction. You will receive a One Time Password (OTP) by SMS and e-mail to authenticate your transaction. Please make sure to shop on secured websites.
What is meant by the billing period and when is the payment due date?
Presently, the billing period for all your transactions starts from the 14th of the month until the 13th of the next month. You have up to 15 days’ grace after statement date to repay your bill. All payments must be effected by the payment due date indicated on your statement. Overdue accounts are subject to late payment fees and interest.
Do I need to settle the full outstanding amount at the end of each month?
What if I am not able to pay the minimum amount due by payment due date?
When is interest applicable on the credit card?
Interest is charged to your card account if you do not pay the total amount due by payment due date. Interest is also levied on ATM withdrawal from the date the transaction is effected until it is fully paid irrespective of having chosen 100% repayment option.
What do I need to do in case of card lost?
